Infertility, Laparoscopic Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Dr. Peter Yong is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in infertility and assisted conception. Dr Yong received his specialist and reproductive medicine training in the United Kingdom (1995-2002). He also has an interest in laparoscopic surgery, especially in relation to the enhancement of fertility and endometriosis. Dr Yong undertook a clinical and research fellowship in IVF/reproductive biology in Edinburgh, Scotland (1999 to 2001). Following his time in the U.K., he worked for 2 years in Singapore as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Reproductive Gynaecology, including IVF services. Dr. Yong was awarded the gold medal in the membership examination of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (1997). He was the recipient of a RCOG Young Obstetrician and Gynaecologist award (2000) to present a paper at the FIGO World Congress, and a travel award to visit the Leuven Institute of Fertility and Embryology in Belgium.
