Luk treats all causes of male and female infertility. He offers microsurgery for tubal ligation reversals or vasectomy reversals. He also has a special interest in advanced laparoscopic techniques, in particular the management of severe endometriosis.
Luk provides personalised care at his consulting rooms in Richmond, Clayton, Frankston and Seymour. He operates at the Epworth Hospital (Richmond), Healthbridge Hawthorn Private Hospital (Hawthorn), Cabrini Hospital (Malvern), Monash Surgical Private Hospital (Clayton), Waverley Private Hospital (Glen Waverley).
A/Prof Rombauts obtained his Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) in 1998 and is now accredited by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists as a training supervisor for the CREI.
A/Prof Rombauts is the Research Director of Monash IVF and sits on the Monash IVF Board of Directors.
He holds an appointment as Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Monash University and is a Research Fellow of the Prince Henry's Institute of Medical Research, where he is conducting research funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council in the fields of endometriosis and embryo implantation. He is a member of the Senior Medical Staff at Monash Medical Centre where he holds specialist appointments as consultant in the Reproductive Biology Unit and as reproductive micro- surgeon.
A/ Prof Rombauts serves as a board member of the World Endometriosis Society and is the editor of the society's bi-monthly journal. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Fertility Society of Australia and has published several books and over 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Luk was also recently named as one of the best reviewers for the most prestigious journal in the Human Reproduction field, for his work for the journal in 2011.
