Qualifications: B.Sc (Hons), MBBS (Hons), MRCOG, FRANZCOG
Dr Anthony Lawrence is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist and has been in specialist practice for 15 years. He initially completed a Batchelor of Science Honors degree majoring in biochemistry prior to his medical degree.
Dr Lawrence has a special interest in the investigation and management of infertility, working as a clinician with Monash IVF for 10 years and is a keen participant in the clinical application of new IVF technology. Anthony has developed skills in advanced laparoscopic surgery with a particular interest in severe endometriosis and is involved in a preceptorship program teaching other specialists these advanced techniques at the Monash Medical Centre. Anthony is a Senior Visiting Specialist at Monash Medical Centre and is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Monash University. He is a consultant gynaecologist at the Alexandra district hospital, Alexandra.
Anthony has given a number of presentations, both nationally and internationally at medical conferences, particularly in relation to laparoscopic surgery and has published and refereed medical journals. He has been actively involved in teaching medical practitioners and medical students over many years.
